Marijuana Anonymous (MA) formed in June 1989 to address compulsive use of cannabis. Since its inception, the MA fellowship has followed the Twelve Traditions and suggests practicing the Twelve Steps, both of which originated from Alcoholics Anonymous. Among the founders at the first MA conference in Morro Bay were delegates from Marijuana Smokers Anonymous (Orange County, California), Marijuana Addicts Anonymous (the San Francisco Bay area), and Marijuana Anonymous (Los Angeles County). Other existing fellowships from Seattle and New York City (1974), enfolded into MA later.

Reddit Leaves

https://www.reddit.com/r/leaves/

Who We Are: This is a subreddit for people intending to quit or trying to figure out whether they should. The only people we’re not suited for are people who have the intention to continue smoking or return to smoking. That includes moderation management, tolerance breaks, “I just need to get away from it for a while,” or “I need help getting through the next few months while my dealer’s on vacation.” It’s hard for people trying to quit for good to have discussions with people who are still smoking or intending to start again, so we keep our focus pretty narrow.
